I am a Causal AI researcher working at the intersection of causal inference, machine learning, and AI. I develop mechanism-informed causal AI methods to study complex biomedical and real-world data and better understand variation in health outcomes.

I received my PhD in Economics, focusing on machine learning, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2023. I have previously held research and teaching positions at Yale University and Caltech. I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University. I also serve as a Nordic Co-Editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Public Health and an Associate Editor of Biometrics.

I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market. My CV is available here.

My Journey

My work focuses on understanding why health outcomes and treatment responses differ across people. Over time, I have worked across healthcare, genomics, environmental health, economics, machine learning, AI, and biostatistics. These experiences have shaped my current work in Mechanism-Informed Causal AI for Precision Medicine.
